Job Description

Infrastructure Support Engineer – Home Working – £40k – £45k

Clemence Rogers are recruiting for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to be home based. The successful candidate will be supporting and maintaining the Group Infrastructure Portfolio to the IT SLA.

Key Responsibilities for an Infrastructure Support Engineer:

• Delivery of infrastructure support services in line with the IT SLA

• Incident management and problem management (including pro-active problem identification, root cause analysis, and resolution).

• Changes documented and submitted to CAB

• Management and support of IT Infrastructure systems

o Including Azure Cloud services, on-premise servers, end user computing

• Microsoft 365 implementation and administration

• Management and support of communications systems

o Including LAN, WAN (IP-VPN and SD-WAN), telephony (mobile and fixed), unified communications

• Management and support of IT security systems

o Including endpoint security, DLP, email security, Web filtering

• Identifying and raising risks and issues where appropriate

• Provide infrastructure assistance to project delivery

• Create or assist in the production of business cases for future Infrastructure initiatives

• Working with the Infrastructure Team Leader on identifying and implementing service improvements

Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive experience working within an Infrastructure service delivery team

• An understanding of modern infrastructure technology and practices

• Experience in M365 tools implementation and administration

• Documenting infrastructure design including process mapping

• Maintaining configuration documentation

• Assisting in the management of third-party suppliers

• ITIL Foundation qualified (desirable)

• Management of Time and Priority Setting

• Goals and Standards Setting

• Work Planning and Scheduling

• Listening and Organising

• Clarity of Communication

• Getting Objective Information

• Problem Identification and Solution

• Assessing Risks and Decision-Making
