Description
As the new Mould Shop Manager, you will plan, prepare and execute all work within the Mould Shop. You will co-ordinate shift employees to achieve maximum output, including data collection and meeting SOP's. Additionally, you will attend daily production meeting to raise and collect relevant information and provide solutions and feedback.
Key Areas
Develop process and systems within the Mould Shop
Create a dynamic, solution driven environment, supporting new ideas and change
Identify, record and communicate concerns regarding any ongoing situation which will prevent the achievement of the highest standards of performance within the department or which may affect others in a similar way
Liaise with mould shop co-ordination regarding stock levels and holidays.
Review workloads, short and medium term, and ensure that manpower and equipment are available to ensure work is carried out within the agreed timescales.
Support and carry out regular assessments of Apprentices
Lead, coach and engage with all Mould Shop colleagues, to include supporting with HR issues
Any other reasonable duties as requested within skill set.Profile

Other Requirements
Experience in mould repair / bench fitting
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience in modern manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing – Desirable
