The Advanced Planning and Support Engineer role is based within our Submarine Support Engineering business area.

The role
The difference our new Advanced Planning and Support Engineer will make
As an Advanced Planning and Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll utilise your expert knowledge and experience to conduct the advanced planning of submarine maintenance activities and understand the spares that will be required for this work.
Day to day, you'll identify the work required for the forthcoming submarine maintenance period, resolve any ambiguities within these activities whilst ensuring that all work requirements are clearly defined and achievable, complete a key date schedule for this work and also be involved in the demand planning of materials for the scheduled work.

Essential experience
* An engineering qualification e.g. degree or HNC/HND or demonstrable relevant experience, at extensive experience in engineering delivery and a good knowledge of submarine or surface ship operations and maintenance activities.
* Experience in managing and running submarine maintenance activities and have previously qualified as a submarine Marine Engineering Department Category C, Category B or Category A watchkeeper.
* You will be a sole UK National.
* You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
