Job Description
On behalf of a national charitable provider, I am looking to recruit an alcohol practitioner to support adults requiring 1:1 support and interventions and access to substance misuse treatment.
Managing your own caseload of up to 60 clients, you will play a key role in the delivery of harm minimisation advice and implementing personalised alcohol reduction plans.
You will also be responsible for the initial assessment, care planning and risk assessment implementation for your clients. Other areas of responsibility will include; interventions around the management of triggers and cravings, exploration and implementation of alternative coping strategies and supporting clients to engage with relevant services that promote physical, mental and social well-being.
A key area of the alcohol practitioner role, is liaising with external agencies, such as GPs and hospital liaison teams, as well as attending multi-disciplinary meetings.
I am seeking applications from candidates who can demonstrate professional experience within the substance misuse arena. As well as, evidence experience of case load management and excellent computer literacy.
Excellent communication skills, and flexibility to work from both office and community based settings is essential, so a UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferential.
In return, you will receive a salary of £21664, annual pay reviews, generous annual leave allowance and access to other benefits.
Your hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, with a 430pm finish on a Friday.
