Job Description
Application Support Engineer – Doncaster/Remote
I'm looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join my client on a permanent basis, although based in Doncaster, the majority of your time can be worked remotely with visits to the office only required when necessary, with the prioce of fuel as it is, there's no need to spend 2 days a week in the office with these guys just to tick a box!
Working as part of Business Systems team you will maintain their application portfolio across a wide range of vendors, in-house teams and software as a service (SaaS) providers, ensuring all applications are run, maintained and available to business users. In addition you will help maintain the SQL databases to ensure they perform and are available in line with service level agreements
Key requirements:
Extensive experience working within a Business Application's Support team, including detailed understanding of business applications to support business processes
Working knowledge of Azure and AVD setups. (or equivalent)
Ability to recognize and diagnose faults swiftly and efficiently
Day to day management of third-party application suppliers
Experience working with Microsoft SQL in an Azure environment (or equivalent)
Designing and maintaining databases based on business requirements (predominantly SQL)
Any experience of the following would be an advantage but not essential:
ERP systems management / implementation
Previous experience of Kerridge Autoline
Sage payroll Cloud 50 & P11D, Sage 200, Sage 1000
SQL report writing
Power BI designing data structures
Designing and supporting SSRS reports
