Job Description
Do you have experience working in an Automotive or Manufacturing Assembly role? Do you want to work a four day week but still maintain a full-time weekly wage?

Caterpillar has an opportunity for a Disassembler and Parts Processor who wants to be challenged and is interested in working within a great team that is friendly and hardworking. You will learn to disassemble a Land Rover 300Tdi engine; process the parts in order to provide a clean engine kit for the assembly line, contributing towards a team of semi-skilled and skilled employees. This role allows you to gain a knowledge of the industry as you learn each process. You will interact with hourly employees at your facility and will receive guidance from your team leader. Monday to Thursday, 07:30AM – 17:15PM
£10.05 PER HOUR
Raising to £11.50 PER HOUR after 12 weeks!Dependant on experience and overtime where available
Overtime available at business discretion for any work from Friday
Sunday would be paid at premium overtime rates!
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs wash, disassembly operations using hand tools and records data into build pack.
Cleans, details, and checks parts for further use.
Replaces minor components on sub-assemblies for further use..
Reports key items failure to Team Leader.
Compliance with safety and quality standards.
Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
Train other employees if and when required.
Any other appropriate duties.
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Experience of automotive work or mechanical engineering.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Must be capable of wearing air fed mask and respiratory PPE when working.
The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions.
The ability to use a variety of power tools, hand tools and basic testing equipment
Physical ability to fulfil the requirements of the job
Desired Qualifications
Computer literacy in most basic Microsoft Programmes: Word, Excel
Attention to detail to meet quality standards
Strong work ethic
