Biomechanical Systems Engineer
Up to £54,000 basic salary
Based in Denham
A leading manufacturer within aerospace engineering is looking to expand their Systems Engineering department by bringing in a Biomechanical Systems Engineer to join their dedicated team based in Denham!
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and sustainment of bio-mechanic digital modelling capabilities to help study spinal injury potential of aircraft equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the team to collaboratively develop and deliver digital models and innovative analysis techniques for occupant biomechanics modelling.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of anthropomorphic test devices (ATD) and instrumentation in collaboration with the Test department.
Utilise the software MSC Adams to replicate the ATD joint dynamics response to acceleration loading during escape as seen in physical testing.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Engineering Department and wider business.
To help support the mission of the Human Systems Integration team across multiple research and operational areas.
Experience/Skills required:
Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
Knowledge in multibody system dynamics.
Knowledge in the fields of biomechanics, trauma and accidental injury, and / or automotive/aerospace crash testing.
Experienced in numerical modelling, data analysis and / or statistical analysis.
Experienced in rigid body modelling (tools akin to MSC ADAMS).
Minimum 1 year experience of engineering complex systems.
Experience of contributing to system design within an integrated team of engineering disciplines.
