Building Services Engineer
Immediate start
Duration – 12 months
Day rate – £450.00 to £500.00
Location – Close to Glasgow
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Building Services Engineer to work on a new build waste to energy project located close to Glasgow. We are looking for someone who has experience installing systems across waste to energy projects such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning), lighting, plumbing, ICT (information and communication technologies) etc.
Roles Responsibilities:
work closely with the Building Services Manager to design the layout of energy distribution, water pipes and ventilation systems and identifying relevant materials
Drawing up plans using computer-aided design and building information modelling software.
Carrying out tests on systems and making changes to plans where necessary
Making sure that all building services meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislation.
Liaising with plumbers, electricians, surveyors, architectural technologists and other construction professionals.
Give presentations and written reports highlighting the practical implications of the architect's designs and implement any changes.
Managing the installation of HVAC systems such as (heating and ventilation)Qualifications and skills:
Degree qualified in Building Services (or equivalent such as HNC, ONC)
Fire Systems certification is a desirable.
Experience working within Waste to Energy (Biomass, Gasification).
