Job Description
Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Buyer for a regional housing developer to support the existing team, focusing on the ordering and procurement of various materials for various developments across Teesside and North Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will also need to assist with various other duties within the buying team, and report directly to the Senior Buyer.
Main duties will include:
* Responsible for the material scheduling for a number of housing development sites at any one time.
* Administer systems
* Raise purchase orders
* Expediting on a daily basis
* Investigate and resolve any delivery discrepancies
To be considered, applicants must be:
* A confident and a numerate professional who has experience as a Buyer with a construction company and can provide take offs from drawings.
* Self motivated, asks questions, wants to learn and has a good work ethic.
* An HND qualification (or equivalent) in a Building related subject is highly desirable.
* Someone who can administer systems would be at an advantage and training can be provided on the COINS system.
* Previous COINS experience is a distinct advantage.
