Care Assistants required for ongoing assignments based in Hertfordshire – supporting Elderly and Dementia clients in residential settings or nursing homes.
Full time hours available
Pay rates from £10.80 to £11.50
Enhanced rates on public holidays

Working alongside nursing staff and responsible for providing a high level of care, your duties will include motivating and encouraging residents or patients to be as active as possible, promoting independence, supporting with emotional and physical needs, assisting with dressing, shopping, social engagements and meal preparation. Providing personal care (eg assisting with toileting) is also an essential part of the role
You will be part of the care team, working alongside other care assistants, nurses and support workers, and you will also interact with families of the residents as well as external care agencies. You must have good, clear communication skills (written and verbal) and have a positive, friendly personality
You will: * Have at least 6 months experience in care working as a care assistant * Hold a valid DBS or be prepared to undertake a new one * Be able to work a shift pattern – mornings, evenings, nights, weekends * Be a flexible and reliable Care Worker
