Embrace will be a clinically informed therapeutic solo service aimed to provide care for the hardest to reach young people.
Working closely with the clinical team you will help the team to process and respond to the needs of young people who may feel let down and frustrated and present with a range of complex trauma behaviours.

We are seeking experienced care workers with solid leadership qualities to join our team delivering a new Cambian service, Embrace.
Making a positive impact on the lives of the young people in our care will be your absolute focus. We will be supporting children between 8-18 years of age that have a range of complex needs – which will include emotional and behavioural difficulties. Providing our children with homely settings that care for one young person at a time. This package of care, in which you will play an important part in maintaining the quality of the provision, is aimed to support the development and the mental wellbeing of the children in our care.
As part of the management team you will support the home’s leadership team, working alongside other leaders and clinicians to ensure we meet all aspects of our young person’s everyday life, such as household duties, engaging children in education, maintain paperwork systems and enriching their lives through activities and supporting hobbies. Helping young people to safely access the local community and maintain important relationships.
Strong leadership abilities; Confidence; emotional resilience and a determination to make a difference are essential qualities for the role. You will be expected to continue to train and develop your practise always striving to deliver the very best care.
You will work closely with the clinical support team to deliver a wraparound service that supports and nurtures our young people’s growth. Supervising and developing team members skills to help them deliver the very best care to our young people. Keeping records and taking a lead in meetings’ you will inspire you team colleagues. Working closely with the home’s manager to deliver an outstanding service.
Duties:
Any reasonable task set by the senior leadership team and home manager.
Safeguarding the young person at all times, leading safe practise and ensuring that the welfare of the young person and staff are promoted and protected.
Supporting the home manager to engrain good therapeutic practises within the team.
Contribute to the home’s leadership structure to ensure the home maintains the highest levels of regulatory and quality compliance.
Ensuring the young people access education
Training, mentoring, supervising and appraising the work of team members to develop them in their role and service delivery.
Contribute to rota planning with a flexible approach to maximise opportunities to engage children.
Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions
Leading quality care and the completion of Household duties
Completing and maintaining paperwork records that support legislative and quality requirements.
Managing financial expenditure and maintaining records as directed by the home manager
Ensuring young people’s health and medication needs are met and quality records kept
Organising and managing days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)
Risk assessing and ensuring Contacts, visit, key work meetings and therapy sessions meet the young person’s needs.
Offering guidance, support and structure to ensure that staff and the young people are cared for and achieve positive outcomes.
Desirable but not essential to hold: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
