CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
Permanent
Full-Time (39 hours Monday to Friday – double day shift rotation)
Salary dependent on experience

We are assisting our client, an engineering company based in West Swindon, in recruiting a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their team. Reporting to the Area Team Leader, the primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all aspects relating to the CNC Turning Area are dealt with in a controlled, safe, effective and efficient manner. You will also provide the company with effective support within the CNC Turning Area.
Duties:
* To fully support the CNC turning area in ensuring the safe and efficient running of CNC Turning machine centres.
* To Program, Set and Operate the company’s multi-axis CNC Turning Machines
* To generate new programs and/or amend/modify existing programs as per drawing requirements.
* To ensure that adequate training and on-going support is given/provided to all CNC Minders.
* In conjunction with the Team Leader, to be responsible for all other CNC Minders to ensure that they work to and perform the normal/expected CNC Minder duties safely and efficiently.
* Responsibility for First-Off and on-going production Quality checks and requirements.
* Responsibility for and to ensure that all tooling and equipment is always available and maintained.
* The movement, administration and identification of product between areas.
* The general housekeeping of the machines and all surrounding areas.
* Provide support and cover when and where necessary within other areas of the company.
Requirements:
* You must have experience with Mazak/Tornos/Miyano style machines.
* You will be able to write a programme and set the machine.
* Able to understand engineering drawings, symbols, revisions and documentation.
* You will be able to use measuring equipment.
* You will be self-motivated, versatile and able to work without supervision in a team environment.
