Job Description
Position: CNC setter/ Operator
Location: Bath
Salary: £38499 to £41366
Type of position: permanent
Working hours: 3 rotating shifts
We are now seeking to recruit CNC setter/ Operator to work in engineering company manufacturing precision engineering components for defence and military sector. This role would suit CNC turner / Miller with previous experience in basic editing of programs.
Responsibilities:
To set tooling and fixtures and run (proven program) designated CNC resource, as defined in the work instruction, within a defined manufacturing process.
The ability to carry out a minimum level of minor/ basic editing of CNC programs.
Submit a near net shape and quality part for first-off inspection and liaise with the quality team to close any defined gap between submitted work piece and design or stage drawing requirement.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY REQUIRED:
Demonstrated experience in CNC machining (milling and / or turning and / or Mill-Turn) of high precision products from a variety of materials and forms i.e., solid, castings or forgings.
Demonstrated experience in a high value, low volume mechanical manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of Fanuc controls or Mazak.
A demonstrable ability to problem solves is desirable
The ideal candidate would have secondary machining skills such as CNC skillset, or Manual Turning or EDM, Rotary and / Cylindrical Grinding etc. is a distinct advantage
