The Company
First People Solutions have an opportunity for a permanent Contracts Manager with a busy Main Contractor in Construction.
Our client has healthy order books delivering a variety of projects across Scotland and is looking for a Contracts Manager from a construction background to join the business.
The Job
As a Contracts Manager you will be involved and tasked with the following duties:
You will be overseeing between 3-5 construction contracts at once across and around the central belt of Scotland
Expected to manage the responsibilities of multiple contracts ranging in value from £5million – £15million
You must be able to manage site teams effectively to ensure contracts are delivered on time and within budget
You will monitor all site activity against quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines
You will be expected to liaise with clients to manage and ensure expectations are met
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from a Construction background. You must also have the following qualities:
You must have experience managing multiple contracts at once
an HNC or above in Construction Management would be advantageous
At least two years of experience as a Contracts Manager on projects ranging up to £15million in value.
You must have a strong commercial awareness
Ambition and determination to deliver success within the business
The ability to face clients and manage site management teams
IT literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesCandidates must also have an SMSTS and CSCS.
