Job Description
We are supporting one of the most recognisable companies in Wellingborough. Due to new processes and systems being implemented they need someone to come in for 3 months to help with credit control.
The role of Credit Controller will report to the Head of Finance and will principally be the maintenance of the sales
ledger, with collection of debts in a timely manner being the principal function, from which numerous other tasks
stem.
We are looking for someone with a kind and professional approach as clients include, parish councils and schools.
Duties Include:
· Contact customers whose invoices have not been settled within their 30-day credit terms, agreeing a date
· payment will be made. Usually the oldest debts will be chased first, working towards the newer
· Chasing up those customers whom have previously been contacted and who have not kept to the agreed
· payment date
· Adding notes to customer accounts on Sage as to the progress of debt collection efforts.
· Whilst chasing debts, you will encounter customers who have paperwork queries. You will be responsible for
· resolving these queries, allowing our invoices to be paid. Liaison with other departments to solve these issues
· will be commonplace
· Taking ad-hoc customer enquiries both via email and via telephone
· Producing customer statement runs from Sage 200 for the Head of Finance to review
