Design Project Manager
Location: London (Hybrid)
Length: 12 months
Rate: £27-32 p/h
Hours: 9am – 6pm
This is a role for someone who has a clear and inspiring vision to create themes and concepts for key tent pole marketing events, strategic insight projects and priority pitches. Facing stakeholders with confidence and working with senior heads of department they will experience developing and adapting the our client's brand guidelines across global markets. They will be excited by innovation and ambiguity and the opportunity to have a big impact.
The Design Manager will be responsible for taking team projects from brief through to execution, while this is a role for a creative manager, the ideal candidate will have the skills and appetite to execute themselves too and they will enjoy being hands-on and lead by example.
Responsibilities:
• Build and inspire best in class creative – maintain a large body of work in a fast-paced environment
• Create processes and scalable solutions for inbound design requests that manage budgets and resource expectations
• Mentor and manage team projects while navigating cross functional relationships
• Create a pipeline of work with ability to plan, organise and take on the right priority projects, internally and externally. Measure impact of priority design programs
• Facilitate meetings and establishing clear next steps resolving blocks that impede progress
• Helps to develops persuasive, engaging sales collateral around multiple advertising products
• Lead design expert training – demonstrate creative thought leadership, keeping ahead of trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations.
• Develops a deep level of understanding of our client's visual identity and style understand strategy to ensure all ideas align with the our client's brand
Skill/Experience/Education:
• BA degree, 7+ years work experience as a creative or related position with brand and/or agency
• People leadership experience, with evidence of developing high-performing and inclusive teams
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) Keynote.
• Ability to lead across a broad range of aesthetics and styles
• Experience in video production/storyboarding
Desired:
• Experience in advertising technology or B2B advertising Sales
• Design thinking experience, with proficiency in user-centred design/creativity methodologies
• Fluent in design trends & up-to-date with digital trends eg: social formats, & new-to-market features
