Job Description
My local authority client in Cumbria are looking for a Housing Standards Technical Officer/Aids and Adaptations Surveyor to join their team for a period of around 6 months.
The role is a typical DFG Surveyor role so will see you dealing with various types of Adaptations/Disabled Facilities Grants applications and duties. This could be working on Adaptations such as Wet Rooms/Ramps/Stair Lifts/Turning Circles etc.
Your role will be to visit properties with and without Occupational Therapists and give advice and make plans with applicants about what would best suit their needs. You will then need to create drawings, schedules of works and manage contractors in order for the works to be completed.
Anyone with recent local authority/social housing/home improvement agency experience in a similar role would be ideal.
