Job Description
Secondary Design and Technology Teacher
A high performing specialist academy for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are seeking a candidate to teach KS3 – KS5 classes across a range of D&T Topics, such as resistant materials, product design, engineering, graphics and electronics.
The ideal candidate will take a positive, flexible, and proactive approach to their practice. The teacher should promote high expectations of behavior in their classrooms and foster an environment whereby every learner achieves their objectives. The candidate should be able to plan lessons that promote curiosity amongst students encourage their commitment to lifelong learning.
This oversubscribed school is offering a permanent position on a full-time basis. This role would be suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.

You will deliver content to at GCSE and A-Level
You will be responsible for the welfare and safeguarding of children within your class
Ensuring that the classroom is kept in a safe and presentable manner
Attendance parents evening and some extra-curricular activities and team meetings
Meeting deadlines for marking and providing feedback on workThe ideal candidate will be committed to progressing their pedagogical and subject knowledge to ensure their practice to continually improved and up to date. The teacher should be able to demonstrate that they can offer engaging lessons that can differentiate for varying attainment levels. You will be welcomed into a forward-thinking, friendly, and inclusive team.
Minimum requirements to apply:
Hold a degree level qualification
You will have completed, or will are expecting to achieve, a post-graduate teaching qualification and have QTS
Successfully completing pre-employment checks, including DBS checks
