Job Description
We are looking to hire an Electrical Technician / Wiring Technician / Assembly Technician / Test Technician to join an exciting employer in Cambridge. You must have experience of high-tech electro-mechanical assembly and test and a relevant Apprenticeship / C&G / HND / HNC / BTEC qualification.
Responsibilities of Electrical Technician / Assembly Technician:
Installation, setup and test of complex electromechanical systems and wiring to Eplan electrical schematics
General electro-mechanical build and assembly
Quality testing of the system and identification of improvement activities
Liaising with the engineering team to ensure that the products are shipped on time and built to the technical brief
Maintenance of the production area and equipment to ensure a safe, clean and organised environment
Essential requirements:
Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / HNC/HND / relevant NVQ / BTEC qualification
Solid experience in electro-mechanical assembly, wiring and test
Good knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and principles along with electrical regulations
Knowledge of E Plan and ability to wire to electrical schematics
Computer literate with a good ability to record data
Additional qualifications such as 17th edition wiring regulations certificate, PAT testing or electrical safety certificates would be highly advantageous
