If you’re searching for a rewarding and fulfilling career opportunity, look no further. Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside Islington Council to appoint an Energy Conservation Officer on a contract basis. 

Islington Council are seeking an Energy Conservation Officer to help deliver our winter energy saving programme. The role will involve carrying out daily audits of council buildings, schools and communal heating plantrooms to identify potential energy savings such as amending heating, BMS and lighting settings, good housekeeping and recommended capital measures.

Duties:

Carrying out annual monitoring and targeting visits to council buildings and communal heating systems and producing reports on their energy use, comparing against benchmarks and identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption and maximise energy efficiency.
Providing written and verbal energy-related advice to premises managers and other council departments.
Carrying out analysis of energy-related datasets using Microsoft Excel, including weather correction.
Producing Display Energy Certificates.
Evaluating and prioritising energy efficiency projects in the council’s building portfolio and managing and delivering these projects on time and in budget, including procurement of contractors.

This role will require you will need to have the following:

The successful applicant will have experience of interrogating heating controller and BMS systems and making recommendations energy savings from non-domestic buildings.
Experience of energy management in a local authority or comparable public or private organisation

What’s on offer?

Pay rate: £20 – £26 per day, negotiable
