Job Description
Our client a growing organisation based in Basildon are looking for an Export Freight Forwarder to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have outstanding customer service skills and previous experience in clearances, quotes and arranging Export Road, Sea and Air shipments.
Duties for the Export Freight Forwarder role:-
Completion of end to end forwarding activities following strict and time sensitive SOP's & KPI's to ensure compliance
Extensive liaison with internal and external customers providing a first class customer service
Ensuring invoicing, job costing, CIA, Netting and milestone are updated within the required time-frame
Carrying out month end department compliance
Customs Entries
Cost control
Assisting the Senior Forwarders, Supervisor and Line Manager when required
Ensuring all reports including internal and customer specific are completed within the deadline
Resolving queries from customers and suppliers
Working closely with the Operations Manager for internal and external rates reviews.
Build and maintain customers and supplier relationships and take part in customer reviews
Assisting sales and management with customer developmentRequirements for the Export Freight Forwarder role:-
Previous experience in a similar role – Export Road, Sea and Air operations
Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
Able to read and understand a SOP
