Job Description
Our client, a well-established global logistics company who pride themselves on innovation and ensuring customer care is met to the highest level within their growing digital world, are looking to recruit an FCL Import Coordinator, to based in offices in Basildon, Essex.

* After 3 months probation, position also offers contributory pension, NHS Top up health scheme and after first full year of employment an extra day per year capped at 25 days excluding bank holidays.
The Role & Department;
The FCL department is the Company’s flag ship service and one of the departments that was instrumental in getting the business to where they are now. The department is a team of three, with a Supervisor within that team supervising the dept The hiring managers are looking for an FCL Import Co-ordinator to come in and work within the FCL department. Ideally, someone with experience, who can come in and help take the department on to the next level. Those with limited experience of import operations will also be considered as training will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Looking after FCL containers from China to the UK.
* Liaising with Company’s China offices for local China arrangements
* Liaising with all local UK suppliers:
* Liaising with Customs Dept to arrange customs clearances
* Liaising with our own and other 3rd party ERTS and general warehouses
* Liaising with local transport companies to organise final end deliveries
* Liaising with internal accounts depts ensuring payments and client accounts are up to date prior to releasing

* FCL (Forward Computers Freight System)
* Outlook
* Word
* Excel
* Destin8 system
* Google docs
To Be Considered:
* Overall import experience essential, limited experience will be considered as training will be provided
* Ideally Import customs entry experience
* Experience with Bill of Lading
* Good telephone manner
* Proven customer service experience
* Experience with Amazon import clients would be advantageous
