Job Description

The Finance Officer will be based at the organisation's Head Office in York and will provide a comprehensive financial support service to the organisation including; maintenance of the financial ledgers to ensure all financial transactions of the organisation are properly authorised and accurately, alongside this, analysing and reporting of financial performance to assists the manager.

They began their journey in 1986 as a drug resource scheme, filling a gap by providing walk-in services for people experiencing problems with drugs and are now expanding rapidly providing; Nursing in School Teams, Mental Health Support Teams, Counselling Services, and Early Intervention Services, for the community of children, young people and their families within York and across England.

Description

The Finance Officer will be responsible for but not limited to;

Ensure that all invoices received are correctly matched with a purchase order and entered into the Sage 200 system.
Prepare monthly payroll and ensure accurate payments of expenses and appropriate deductions.
Process payroll year-end
Manage all payments and receipts through the organisation's bank accounts are correctly recorded
Ensure that significant trends and variances are highlighted to cost centre managers and that analysis is available to ensure cost centre managers understand the causes.
Month end management

Profile

The successful Finance Officer will have;

Experience in controlling all financial ledgers.
Managing and processing a monthly and end-of-year payroll.
Use of Microsoft packages and proficient in the use of excel and spreadsheets.
Ability to produce and communicate clear financial reports as required
Experience in using Sage accounting and software to process transactions and generate reports.Job Offer
