Job Description
Our client is a privately owned Northwest-based construction company turning over £20m per year. They have an excellent reputation which has been built up over many decades of delivering quality projects across various sectors with values ranging from £250k-£5m.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Financial Controller with experience in the construction industry. Reporting to the owners, your duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting
Presentation of the monthly management accounts and CVR reporting to the senior management team
Work closely with business leads to prepare accurate detailed cost and CVR reporting
Cashflow forecasting, reporting, and credit control
Agreeing and maintaining budgets and reporting against actuals with variation analysis
Quarterly VAT returns
CIS verifications and returns
Payroll reporting as part of construction project analysis
PAYE and pension file upload
Ensure direct and indirect tax compliance (computations, review, submission)
Co-operation with external stakeholders (bank, accountants, HMRC etc)
Take a pro-active approach to developing sound financial controls
