Job Description
The Role:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced First Line Manager for a leading logistics organisation based in Oxfordshire.
As the First Line Manager you will drive the performance across the entire warehouse operation, in particular on the outbound section.
Key First Line Manager responsibilities:
Ensure all operating standards are met through compliance to company policies and procedures and adherence to legislation.
Work with internal and external individuals and groups to ensure standards are achieved and maintained
Implement Service Centre policies and procedures to meet business needs
Support the implementation and maintenance of a standard training matrix.
Use data i.e. KPIs, SLAs to help maximise efficiency in a high performance fast paced environment
Researching and compiling reports
Developing and training staff in the team
The ability to delegate tasks and take on responsibility
First Line Managers Requirements:
Previous experience of managing teams within a fast paced warehouse environment.
Experience of a Logistics, Distribution or Warehouse operation.
Proficient with Microsoft office applications
Articulate and thorough, showing attention to detail.
Ability to be resilient and adaptable.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pro-active, demonstrating initiative and anticipates needs.
Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of leading change
KPI monitoring, addressing any issues
Ability to evidence experience in creating a culture of continuous improvement and people development
Strong decision-making capabilities
Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures in a highly regulated environment
Strong conflict resolution skills
