Development Chemist
We are recruiting for an Analytical Scientist with Chemistry biased who has ideally completed a Chemistry degree and gained experience in a placement year or post degree.
In this role you will work closely with a direct team of 8 at a well established, highly reputable manufacturing site in Wrexham who employ over 85 professionals on site.
They will pay you up to £26000 per year, working 36.25 hours across Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 25 days of holiday, up to 11% pension (7% employer 4% you), BUPA cash plan and a discretionary bonus scheme!

What would I do?
You will be well involved with mass spectrometry testing and the quality control of new and existing products whilst also developing new products! This is a role where you'd be in the lab circa 70% of the time with the remaining proportion looking after reporting/SOP's, COSHH forms, researching, having the opportunity to assist in the writing of marketing material as necessary.
This really is a well-rounded scientific role offering great variety, ample exposure to laboratory sciences / business operations to elevate your career significantly moving forwards.
In this position you will typically work across a couple of HPLC's machines as well as a Mass Spectrometer. There will also be GC work, enabling you to really develop your analytical chemistry expertise.
You will be well supported by a more senior scientist who himself worked in this position and has elevated himself up the career ladder!
What do I need?
Ideally a relating degree in Chemistry or very similar
LC (Liquid Chromatography) experience
Experience in a lab gained via a placement year in industry OR post degree
Dynamic attitude with great communication skills to work well with wider personnel
A passion for chemistry, labs, development, R&D and all things chemistry relating!
You must be eligible to work in the UK
