Job Description
Is there still a need for claims handlers or is this a process that could be automated using machine learning technology?
If you agree with the above statement, or even to a certain degree, then I’m talking to you.
You’re currently sat, possibly comfortably, in a Head of Claims or Senior Claims position within an insurance company.
Whether it be a big corporate or SME you're currently working in. You’re fed up with all the red tape. The digital claims projects are just taking a lifetime to complete with all the unnecessary processes and the business you’re working for are just another one of ‘those’ insurance companies that claim they are ‘innovative’ and ‘forward-thinking’ but who continue to want to use the same outdated dinosaur methods.

And that same team need you, a technical and digital claims expert, to come in and build the strategy around how you do it across the claims function.
Who knows, you’ll be working for a PE backed business so there is bigger potential.

The first project has been completed. But there is much more to be done. Splitting your time between home (wherever), head office (Surrey) and the occasional trip to the suppliers (UK wide) you'll lead a cracking team across Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Household Claims and UX Design. They’re great at ‘doing the do’ but they need you to create and lead the strategy.
Ultimately you just want an opportunity to be able to apply digital to claims and all the other exciting bits in between. It’s that simple.
Oh, and there's no need to have had experience within Household Claims. Although it would be nice, your team have that expertise.
