Baycroft, Fairfield Park, is a beautifully designed 75-bed care home with a relaxed and calm atmosphere. Focusing on their residents happiness, the staff are extremely caring and skilled to ensure the best possible care is provided.

The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of a Care Assistant in Fairfield Park, Hitchin. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting our residents with their daily personal care needs whilst promoting their dignity and individuality.
Working as part of a strong, talented team.
Helping our residents with their hygiene, mobility and physical comfort.
Reporting to our dedicated nursing team regarding any illness, accident or event incurred by our residents, colleagues or visitors.
Undertaking observations of our residents and documenting this as necessary in their care plans.
Having a positive and friendly disposition.
Offering ongoing comfort to our residents who may be ill or requiring care at the end of their life, whilst making sure that their religious or cultural needs are fulfilled.
Salary: £9.90 per hour including £1.10 per hour market supplement
Working hours: Full-time Roles (Day or Night shifts) 36 hours over 7 day rota- day/night shifts available 08:00-20:00/20:00-08:00
(Required to work every other weekend – 2 week rolling rota)
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly. The successful candidate will:
Share in our values with a geniune interest in caring for vunerable residents.
Have a personal or professional experience in caring for others.
Be eager and willing to undertake further training.
Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care (desirable).
