About the Client
Britain's only national grain marketing and arable inputs co-operative. It is a significant business, with a turnover of over £600m and is owned by around 4,000 British farmers. They work with their farmer members to supply grain commodities to some of the biggest and most well-known brands in the UK. They proudly support British grain for British food and drink. When the market is right, they are also one of the UKs largest exporters of grains. In addition to marketing grain for farmers and grain stores.
About the Role
In this role as a HR & Payroll Assistant you will have 50/50 responsibilities for both the HR and payroll aspects of the business. On the HR side you will support on day-to-day tasks, including onboarding, appraisals, client visits and disciplinaries. On the payroll side you will take charge of payroll for the business, including the growing fleet drivers' team.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role you will need experience within HR, and ideally have some payroll functions experience too. If not, the desire to learn this side of the role is essential. CIPD qualified is again, desired but not completely needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to operate within a fast-paced team are a must. Along with a can-do attitude.
