Are you a fully qualified Humanities teacher?
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a mainstream secondary school in Bury who are currently looking for a humanities teacher to join their department. Due to a member of staff going on early maternity leave, our client school requires an experienced teacher who can cover this absence until the end of the academic year.
Our client school is based in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to areas such as Rochdale, Prestwich and Radcliffe.
With over 700 pupils, our client school is known for its small class sizes and concentrated teaching methods to ensure all pupils have the correct support they require.
Full-time Humanities teacher required from September 2022.
Experience teaching both History and Geography required.
Teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Any experience with challenging behaviour or transferrable skills is highly valued
Paid in line with scale NQT-UPS (£25,714 – £41,604).
Working as a Humanities teacher in our client school will include several roles and responsibilities including:
Planning, preparing and delivering Humanities lessons to accommodate pupils at varying levels of learning.
Teaching a mixture of Georgraphy and History lessons.
Assessing and evaluating both classwork and homework and reporting these back to senior teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their objectives.
Promote positive behaviour management in line with school behaviour policies.
Our partner school is looking for a Humanities teacher who can aid challenging pupils’ attainment alongside providing behaviour management interventions. Our client academy does provide excellent behavioural support for their staff however; any experience with challenging behaviour or behaviour management training will be highly valued.
