About the Junior NPD Technologist job
This is a great opportunity for someone who is at the start of their food NPD career and is looking to join a fantastic business offering prospects to progress a career in a manufacturing environment.
There is excellent career progression available including full training and the opportunity to excel and diversify within the NPD department.
Key tasks:
* Carry out sensory taste testing, market reviews and trend analysis.
* Recipe creation & laboratory formulation.
* Involvement in artwork approvals.
* Raw material & supplier approval.
* Product specifications & pack copies.
* Preparation, support & execution of factory trials & launches.
* Creation of production documentation including QAS sheets.
* Gather and review production data.
* Gaining knowledge in food safety and HACCP for all products.
Skills & experience required for the Junior NPD Technologist job
This role would suit a recent food science or food technology graduate who is looking to start their NPD career.
Or perhaps you have some product development experience and are wanting to join a business where you can learn, develop, and progress in a dynamic and expanding business.
* Food Science, Food Technology, or related degree/HND is highly desirable.
* Experience working in Food New Product Development – such as a university placement would be a great advantage.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and quick to learn.
* A high passion for food and flavours with an open approach to innovation, processes, and concepts.
* PC Literate with knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint etc.

The Junior NPD Technologist job is based in North Yorkshire and is paying £20,000 – £22,000 according to your experience.
The package includes pension, life insurance, sick pay, onsite parking, and free products.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.
