Job Description
We are currently recruiting for Kitchen Porters to join this prestigious school based on the outskirts of Guildford must be able to drive due to location. This is a term time only role so school holidays off! The Kitchen Porters will support the catering team you will be the heartbeat of this brigade:
The kitchen porter will be responsibilities:
* Keep the kitchen clean & tidy
* General cleaning of all equipment used in the kitchen
* Cleaning of food areas
* Removal of refuse and cleaning of refuse areas
* Basic food preparation
* Help unload food and equipment deliveries
* Support the chefs with daily duties
* Promote good working practices within the kitchen to public health guidelines
To succeed in this role you will need:
* A positive attitude
* Good interpersonal skills
* The ability to work under pressure
* The ability to work on their own or within a team
* Excellent attention to detail
Hours are 40 hours per week over 5 out of 7 days per week, based on 43 weeks per year.
