Job Description
Our client, a cutting edge cell innovation company has a requirement for a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Oxford.
As Laboratory Technician- Cell Biology, you will:
Executing against processes to isolate and cryopreserve muscle and fat cells, to support cell line development process and in support of the team's goals
Performing cell culture and forward processing of cell lines to establish their growth characteristics, recording and sharing results with the team through company data management system
Assisting with phenotypic characterisation and analyse differentiation capability of cell lines, recording and sharing results with team
Developing the companies understanding and use of flow cytometry, and then conducting and analysing in-house flow cytometry data for cell line characterisation
Running the analytical processes for spent media, cells / tissue samples for quality assurance, in support of the whole team and your own assigned activities
Preparing consumables for company cell biology laboratory work, assisting Cell Sciences group as a whole and ensuring a smooth running robust process across the lab
Collecting, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data to the management and the team
To be considered for the role of Laboratory Technician, you will have:
Educated to degree level in a Life Sciences field
Well established/ 3 years plus Laboratory experience
Worked with aseptic techniques, tissue isolation and primary cell culture, immunocytochemistry, and microscopy
Ideal candidates would offer experience/ insight in flow cytometry
This is a permanent position, based in Oxford.
