Logistics Coordinator
Salisbury depot
Telent Technology Services currently has a widely varied and exciting position for a Logistics Coordinator to join the Traffic team based at the Salisbury depot in South England.
Logistics Coordinator – role:
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, ordering and booking Traffic Signal / Highways equipment to scheduled jobs, ensuring that our Traffic Engineers have everything they need for completing Traffic Signal Installs / Traffic Signal Maintenance projects. Other duties include:
Undertake and follow through to completion of any Traffic related projects that the Contracts Manager may request support on
Ordering of equipment for Traffic Installation schemes and Maintenance programs, keeping the required stock levels and allocating to jobs ready for installation
Ensure that relevant equipment is booked out correctly, and maintain correct stock levels
Running reports on equipment / tools resources
Learning and understanding our Finance system to be able to assist in various other office tasks
Monitoring of various monthly paperwork and chasing Traffic Engineers as required and keep our systems up to date
To take ownership of monthly chargeable reports and Invoice accordingly
Liaise with Telent H&S Manager / Contracts Manager with any Health & Safety issues
Ensure Engineers / Field team are compliant with their Vehicle checks and ensure equipment is looked after
Raising and closing down permits to work.The successful candidate will also need to work closely with and support the "faults" administrator during periods of absence.
Business Operations Skills – Skills & Qualifications:
Experience of using Oracle business operating software
Skilled user of Microsoft Office / PDA / Laptop
Invoicing / Invoice experience
Scheduling and Coordinating reactive / planned maintenance works
Monitoring stock levels / stock control
Fork lift licence would be an advantage
