Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic Part Time Teaching Assistants who have the skills to adapt and support children with special educational needs (SEN).  We work with many SEN schools in and around Plymouth and there is high need for support staff on a part time and flexible basis; working on a flexible contract means that you can pick week by week which days you are available to work by keeping your online diary up to date, you will then be contacted on the basis you are available for work that needs to be filled.

Successful candidates will work to support students in a Teaching Assistant capacity either 1:1 or in small groups in the classroom or out in the community to aid the students access to learning.

We would like to hear from you if:

You must have a passion for working with children who have SEN, be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment and the ability to work on their own initiative.

Any experience working in education or with people with special needs is desired however if you have no experience, you will still be considered if you are passionate, engaging, enthusiastic and keen to learn.

You must be able to commit to at least two terms work, stability and consistency are key for the students.

To work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38 plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
