Job Description
As a Platform Engineer you will be responsible for providing full life-cycle support to the development, testing and production environments. You will also setup and configure software release systems, cloud provisioning, and monitoring tooling within cloud.

Description
As a flexible Platform Engineer, you will help manage all aspects of the Cloud platform to provide full lifecycle production assistance to the company's development, testing and production departments.
In your first few weeks in this Platform Engineer role, you can expect to:
Provide operational support and continuous improvement across the cloud estate and suggest enhancements to processes for Development, Test and Production environments.
Be involved in automation and process efficiency initiatives across the estate, implement appropriate tooling to reduce cycle times, and improve reliability, audit and traceability for all system deployments across multiple applications
Setup and configuration of software release systems, cloud provisioning, and monitoring tooling within cloud.
Ensuring production environments are protected by governance, good practice/process, design and always 'fit for purpose'. Also, ensuring consistency across environments to the left of Pre-Prod, supporting all project and change activity
Design and implement virtualized and cloud-based architectures, leverage agile approaches for automation and builds scripting, and supporting development activities.
Ensuring software and processes are correctly documented and helping sharing skills and knowledge across the team and departmentProfile
To apply for this Platform Engineer role, you will need expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft IIS. You will also require the following:
A cloud and infrastructure all-rounder with a passion for technology and learning
Knowledge of build, monitor and support of Windows Server, Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft SQL Server as well as Microsoft IIS install and management.
Experience as an infrastructure, operations or technical expert operating in the space between development and operations
Demonstrable technical knowledge in Enterprise system Design, Virtualisation, Capacity, Resilience, Monitoring, Network and Performance Management;
Previous experience in cloud management, code and test, scaling, automation, source control, deployment and back up.Job Offer
