Job Description
We are currently looking for a Principal Medicinal Chemist and Group Leader to join a growing pharmaceutical drug discovery company in Cambridgeshire.

The role:
As a Principal Medicinal Chemist or Group Leader, you will lead drug discovery projects that range across several therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, inflammation and virology.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team highly skilled scientists to delivery projects.
Support/ lead the design and synthesis of complex molecules.
Lead and support team members on Hit to Lead and Lead Optimisation projects.
Work collaboratively with other departments including Biology and DMPK.
Write and review project reports.
Ideal candidates will be PhD qualified in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry with experience in industry at a Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist level.
Candidate must have some experience in leading drug discovery projects and leading or coaching chemists.
