Job Title: Product Manager – Building Products

Based: Newcastle
Remuneration: £38,000 – £40,000 + 10% bonus

The role of the Product Manager – Building Products will involve:
* Product manager position responsible for our client’s full building product range which includes: timber, adhesives, OSB, peel clean and an advanced structural flooring system
* You will be the primary point of contact for all building products, ensuring all departments are kept up to date with ongoing developments and assisting with solutions for all customer’s product queries
* Assisting departments such as sales, marketing, production, logistics and customer service with the introduction of new products
* You will be responsible for conducting presentations, displaying excellent product knowledge and training to all relevant internal departments and customers when required
* Carry out market research on building products and the building sector through a variety of different methods, such as attending exhibitions and liaising with internal departments
* A small portion of your time will be spent going out visiting projects, supporting the sales team with potential trips to Europe
* Developing and maintaining key relationships with customers
* Assisting the marketing team to ensure complete accuracy with all product related content
* Full product training can be provided
The ideal applicant will be a Product Manager – Building Products with:
* Must be from a UK building sector background
* Ideally have experience working in/selling to Merchants/Timber Merchants
* Building materials product knowledge would be beneficial
* Open to someone with a Technical background or sales experience within the building sector
* Must be well organised and possess the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confident, outgoing, approachable and eloquent
* Computer and Microsoft Office literate
* Hungry and driven with good attention to detail
