Job Description
A fantastic Doncaster based heavy engineering business is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The salary is competitive and will be discussed upon application. This is 35 hours a week role 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 2pm on Friday.
The ideal candidate will have
* A degree or equivalent in Materials Science or Materials Engineering.
* A background in Product or Account Management within the heavy engineering sector
* A comprehensive knowledge of the steel making and continuous casting processes and will be familiar with the application and performance criteria of the refractories used within these areas.
* An out-going and confident personality, able to maintain current business relationships and develop new ones, within our customer base.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical assistance with monitoring and reporting on the performance of refractory products.
* Approve technical drawings for both refractory products and tooling.
* Agree product standards with the production department.
* Attend regular review meetings with the customers.
* Monitor competitor activity and results.
* Other duties as and when required.
