Job Description

A market leader and a legacy name in precision engineering are actively looking to partner with an experienced Production Engineer.

This role of Production Engineer is an expansion position due to the volume of work and needing a specialist to hone this skillset and have full autonomy to make the right decisions for the shopfloor, ultimately positively impacting the business.

The role of Production Engineer will be reporting directly into the Site Manager and will take charge of the following areas;

Analyse the current manufacturing processes and ascertain areas for improvement (e.g. look at workflow, shopfloor layout etc.)

Ensure that the correct programming is being used

Tightening up on and introducing new SOP's / KPI's to reduce the amount of downtime/product wastage

Support the tender process for equipment to ensure the best quality for best price

Hands on experience within a precision and/or machining engineering environment

CNC experience 

Well versed in NC and Macro Programming

HNC qualified within mechanical engineering
