Job Description
The Company
* MTrec are currently are recruiting for Production Labourers based in the Birtley area for a full-time long term position leading to permanent for the right candidate after a successful probation period.
The Role
Galvanizing Section
* Role is lifting of metal products galvanized mild steel
* Placing on to hanging racks and then they are transporting to an acid tank via an overhead crane (However they will be more than 50 metres away at any point from the acid so will never come in to contact with it)
* Role is manual lifting (Literally lifting steel from a pile and placing on to hanging racks all day ever day)
* Weight of product is 20kg per product
Foam Section
* Recently removed and dried products come from the storage area and are transferred across to the foam section
* They will take steel products and placed into a foam and polystyrene packaging
* Then place these products in to a pallet and a counter balance FLT driver will transport the products to the distribution area
The Environment
* Physical
* Typical engineering environment, dirty and full of dusty products
* Repetitive and they will be doing this all day
The Person
* Physically fit with a "can do" attitude
Hours
* Monday – Thursday. 08:00 – 16:30 pm / 7:00 am – 15:30 pm
* Monday – Thursday. 21:00 pm – 07:00 am
The Pay
* Dayshift: £9.50 per hour
* Nightshift: £12.68 per hour
Full-time leading to permanent for the right candidate after successful probation
