Job Description

My client is looking for a Production Manager to provide day to day management of a 24/7 production operation (the role itself is day based), working to high standards and developing a stable and motivated team.

Ideally from a process manufacturing background or similar, you will be confident in your ability to consistently deliver to customer expectations in a regulated environment whilst meeting the highest standards of health and safety and helping to drive operational efficiency.

THE ROLE:

The successful Production Manager will:

* Provide day to day management of your teams to meet and exceed productivity targets, meeting the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

* Be responsible for achieving quality metrics and KPI's, promoting a strong 'right first time' culture, ensuring compliance with working practices.

* Ensure the plant is a clean, well ordered, safe, healthy and compliant working environment.

* Train and develop staff to perform their job roles effectively.

* Work closely with HR on line management and HR issues.

* Work closely with engineering disciplines to maintain and improve plant availability and up-time.

* Deliver projects and work towards specific company goals as set by senior leaders.

THE CANDIDATE:

To apply, the successful candidate will have:

* Solid people management experience gained in a regulated manufacturing or process environment.

* Ideally a graduate level education with evidence of development in people and production management.

* Able to monitor, report on and drive operational KPI's.

* Ability to manage, train and develop staff and teams.

* Evidence of capability and training in lean manufacturing techniques and strong grasp of quality management.

* Good IT skills, strong administrative skills and budget understanding.
