Your Profile
As the Quality/Mechanical Inspector you will have experience of working within the aerospace/defense inspection environment
CNC CMM programing. You will have a good understanding of Lean & Six Sigma Principles of continuous improvement, understanding of maintaining a gauge calibration system and SPC experience. Experience with Mitutoyo would be beneficial but not essential
The Role
The Quality/Mechanical Inspector you will be Capable of operating/using Manual & CNC CMM equipment, digital shadow graphs, Digital vertical height gauges and all hand help inspection equipment.
Have a thorough understanding of Geometric dimensioning, tolerancing and reading customer detailed specifications, in a precision manufacturing environment.
Subcontract/supplier product/process verification
Professional experience in a similar position.
A methodical and systematic approach to record keeping & log systems.
A good understanding of Quality Systems i.e. AS9100/ISO9001 or others
Familiar & experienced in compiling First Article Inspection reports, C of C's
Experienced with product Non Conformity resolution
The ability to inspect product to 100% quality standards.
Ability to work autonomously
Liaising with production & suppliers to solve any process problems
Comfortable with sign off approval authority
Worked with metallic and non-metallic materials
Organised and methodical – capable of planning your own day and workloads.
Have a reasonable working level in Microsoft Office products.
