Quality Inspector Job in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey
Job Description
SVC Solutions are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Surrey based client on a permanent basis.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Ensuring finished component conform to all customer and specification requirements
* Use of equipment including but not restricted to; Micrometers, Vernier Callipers, Bore micrometers, etc….
* Performing first off inspection (where required) to ensure operator has conformed to drawing/specification.
* Visual inspection of components to ensure full coating coverage where required.
* Ensuring all periodic testing is performed to specification/requirements.
* Assist the QM in investigating open NCRs to allow P & C actions to be performed.
* Working within health and safety and environmental requirements.
* Ensuring the inspection department paperwork is completed to specification requirements and to company procedure.
* Assist the QM (where required) in the maintenance of the company quality systems.
Attributes and Skills:
* Good problem-solving skills
* An aptitude for science and engineering
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blue prints.
* Attention to detail
* The ability to use a wide range of tools and instruments
* Good IT skills
* Good communication skills, both written and spoken
* Good eyesight and colour vision
* An understanding of health and safety and COSHH issues.
Qualifications
* Good communicator at all levels.
* Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Technical Support (Quality Control) or equivalent experience.
* 2 Years electroplating inspection experience
