SEMH Teaching Assistant Job in Manchester

Job Description

A primary pupil referral unit in Manchester is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to start ASAP with children that are currently out of mainstream schooling for a variety of different social, emotional and mental health reasons. Your role will involve behaviour management of pupils within the classroom to ensure that they are focused. You will also help teachers with lessons by talking through resources with children and giving them extra help that they may need with topics.

Required experience and qualifications:

–          Experience in a support role within a school

–          Knowledge of different SEMH needs and how to respond to these

–          Team Teach qualification

–          Experience with difficult behaviour

Currently the role is a temporary position, but there is a possibility of a permanent position being offered for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
