SEN Teaching Assistant Job in Scarborough
Job Description
Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist SEN school in the Scarborough area to look for Learning Support Assistants that will be classroom based. The school works with young people ranging from the age of 11 to 19, although many students will be working to a lower level. The school is specifically designed to meet needs of the children that attend, and so has a variety of different facilities and equipment to provide a learning environment that is beneficial to all students.
To apply for this role, you should:
– Have experience working with young people with SEN.
– Have experience working with young adults that display challenging behaviours
– Be calm, patient and enthusiastic
– Have some school experience
The role itself will involve supporting students within a classroom with their work and behaviour. You will be working alongside teachers and other staff to provide a well rounded experience for students so that they are able to perform to the best of their ability.
The role is a full time position, so you must be available to work the full hours to ensure continuity for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
