Senior Market Researcher Role overview:

We are looking for an experienced market researcher, with a proven track record in market research working across varied industries, developing consumer insights, and working with qualitative and quantitative research techniques. You will have great enthusiasm for turning data in to actionable insights and presenting this through engaging stories with minimal supervision. You will take a multi-disciplinary approach to insight and research to deliver strategic research projects with impact.
Job details:
Hours: Part or full time. Full time hours are 35 hours per week 9am- 5pm Mon-Fri
Location of work: Meadow Lane, Sudbury, CO10 2TD. Opportunity for hybrid working (home/office split). Expectation to work from office at least 3 days per week.
Senior Market Researcher Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Research Director to formulate and deliver insightful market research strategies for clients from a variety of industry sectors.
* As this is a senior role, you will be focussed on both delivering and communicating strategic outputs, and managing a small team.
* You will take a hands-on approach to support in the management of projects during all stages of the research process and be required to work on multiple projects independently.
* Develop and carry out timely and rigorous qualitative and quantitative analyses to enhance decision making.
* Carry out primary and secondary research commissions to support various strategic initiatives with a primary focus on: idea generation, data gathering and research/analysis, model implementation and testing. Research and appraise the macroeconomic market and industry dynamics; analyse the competitive landscape, market share, predicted growth and market size; identify market trends, and assess their impact.
Senior Market Researcher Essential Requirements:
* MS Office skills (especially Excel), IT proficiency and understanding of statistics.
* Relevant degree level qualification with evidence of ongoing CPD (desirable: post-graduate qualification with MRS, CIM/CIPR membership).
* Experience as a professional market researcher including project management, research design, execution, and reporting across a variety of industry sectors.
* Excellent demonstrable research and analytical skills.
* Project management experience, including the full life cycle of insight and research projects from design through to delivery and review.
* Be comfortable conducting data analysis: pulling data, building models, and analysing market data and operational information.
* Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work collaborative with senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to present findings from robust analysis, which is clear and accessible to non-specialists, including the writing of clear, concise, and accurate reports and documents and good presentation techniques.
* Previous experience working in creative/research/marketing agency (desirable)
