Senior Product Manager – Automotive Platform
£50,000 – £90,000
Remote first with occasional travel to the South of UK
This company is on a mission to turn the automotive industry on its head! Gone are the days of paying huge fees and long term commitments. Instead, their platform opens doors to allow more people to get on the road and turn their dreams into a reality.
They're a small team, and there are some VERY exciting things coming up over the next few months that we can't talk about just yet. As a result of this, and a huge increase in demand for their platform, they are looking to scale their business further and as such we are very excited to be helping them find their first inhouse Product Manager.
Now, this is a big role- they need someone who knows their Product stuff (seems obvious, I get it) and can provide real leadership and strategic thinking to their platform. There will be genuinely massive opportunities for whoever gets this role. Building a team out around you and leading it, and inevitably becoming Head of Product in the future (if that's what you want) are all visions the team see happening for this role.
You'll be working closely with their CEO, CTO and Agile Delivery teams (made up of Developers, QA's, Scrum Masters and an external Product team) to create and deliver their Product Strategy, along with defining the Product roadmap. You will be the most senior Product person and will be driving the team forward and the roadmap.
Experience you'll ideally need
Demonstrated experience in a Product Manager role at a Senior level, defining a strategy and managing a backlog
Experience of delivering a product out to market from scratch
Experience of working closely with development teams, and a solid understanding of the full software development Lifecyle
Experience of working in a small, fast paced startup environment
An interest in automotive, or experience of working in the automotive industry would be highly beneficial
Equally experience in Fintech would be highly beneficial
An understanding of scrum, lean and agile processes
A natural leader and strong team management skills
Experienced with tools such as Trello or Figma (or similar)
Willing to travel around the South of the UK occasionally as part of your roleAs mentioned above, there will be occasional travel with this role, to client sites, in the south of England. It's hard to say how often it will be, but the team need someone who is willing to get out on the road once a week, or once a fortnight-ish depending on the workload. Alongside this, you will need to be comfortable working from their London office once a week.
