Job Description

Our oil and gas client are hiring a Senior Project Engineer on a long-term ltd company contract based in Farnborough, England.

EXPERIENCE      

•             Experience in Engineering/Project Engineering and Project Management 

•             Oil and Gas experience

•             Experience of EPC’s and Client Organisations

•             Experience of Execution lifecycle – FEED, Detailed Design and Construction

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Management assistance in the Delivery of the Project.
Coordinates and manages the Contractor on behalf of the Client.
Providing project leadership and steer project personnel.
Work closely with Project Manager, Client and Contract Management to help deliver EPC ITBs and answer/track EPC clarifications.
Ensuring that deliverables are completed and issued in accordance with the prime contract.
Develop and provide reports when required and monitors performance of Contractor from the Baseline Contract and schedule.
Participates in risk reviews and assists in monitoring/updating the risk register with Project Controls and Project Management.
Participates in the planning and scheduling of the scope for the project.
Monitors the Engineering and Construction progress, addresses shortfalls, reviews recovery plans where required and ensures plans are implemented. Provides feedback to Direct Supervisor and Contractor when required on the progress.
Ensures participation of the engineering team members in Project engineering reviews and assists in resolution of any issues arising out of the same.
Attends project review meetings and ensures that associated reports are compiled and distributed accordingly.
Ensures that interface issues between disciplines are addressed and seeks management advice and assistance where required.
Assists in the production of the project execution plan and helps develop  the coordination procedures for the project.
Provides progress monitoring and reporting against that plan. Ensures corrective action is undertaken as and when variations from plans occur.
Capable of formulating resolutions to technically challenging and/or high profile issues with support from  Engineering/Project Services personnel and resolving with Contractor and Client.
Monitors preparation and presentation of the final documentation in accordance with requirements of  the Client acceptance certificates.
Participates in a formal review of the project with relevant parties on completion, and identifies opportunities for value creation, learning and development.
Ensures compliance with Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures.
