Job Description
We are currently working with the Refurbishment / Property Services Division of a market leading UK Main Contractor.
The business currently turnover more than £700 million and built up a large amount of partnering relationships over the past 25 years. They currently have a full order book as well as lots of upcoming work in the pipeline with some major contract wins.
The business specialises in range of new build and refurbishment projects, as well as major mixed-use schemes.
Sectors include: Housing Development, Community regeneration schemes and Retirement Living, Education, Healthcare & Leisure
The business mainly operates as a Contractor working for Private clients, local councils, and housing associations.
They have built a strong top tier management team with the Divisional Director and Managing Director having strong credentials in the Construction and Regeneration Industry.
Business Unit
We are working with a business unit that specialises in refurbishment projects. These types of works include:
* Strip Out & Replacement of External Cladding – EWI / Zinc / Rainscreen
* FRA Works – Passive fire protection and Fire stopping
* Remedial works
* New roofing
* Structural works.
* Retrofit
* Kitchen & Bathrooms + More
Clients they work with include: Local Authorities & Housing Associations
Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is an exciting opportunity as the project is venturing into low carbon and ensuring our homes are more sustainable.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making zero carbon happen!
You will also have experience working for a local authority client on external refurbishment
Project Brief:
Undertaking externals programmes for Local Authority clients.
Properties will be Housing Homes with external works including: windows and doors, fabric works, high spec M&E, roofing and PV.
Duties to include but not limited to:
* Managing a number of projects for a local authority client
* Working on social housing
* Carrying out regeneration external works including windows and doors, fabric works, high spec mechanical and electrical, roofing and PV
* Take ownership of all aspects of each project under your control from pre-construction phase to completion
* Liaison with the client and contract administrator on both a formal and informal basis
* Direct involvement and influence with the client and design team working towards decarbonisation
Experience & Qualifications:
* Social Housing Experience
* External works experience
* Asbestos & Scaffold Experience or Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
